Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of Paternalistic leadership on the behaviors of workers through enhancing positive behaviors and reducing negative ones. The importance of this study comes from the absence of Arabic studies that investigates these variables in one hypnotized model that indicates the presence of a knowledge gap that needs to be studied. In addition, the studied organizations need a leadership style that enhance employees’ loyalty and reflect their ethical and benevolence side toward their families. In order to achieve aims of the study, the correlation and effect of the relationships were studied between the dimensions of Paternalistic leadership which are represented by (authoritarian leadership, benevolent leadership, moral leadership), and the dimensions of work behavior (helping behavior, voice behavior, and deviant behavior). A set of hypothesis concerning correlations and influence between variables of study were formulated.By adopting the descriptive analytical approach, a questionnaire was made as a primary tool to the research data, (232) questionnaires were distributed to faculty members, only (211) were suitable for the statistical analysis. By using different statistical softwares, several hypothesis were accepted and through them conclusions and recommendations were set.
