Abstract
This study aimed to identify the impact of knowledge management operations on the requirements of electronic management for employees working at the Islamic University and Al-Azhar University. A major question was asked: What is the impact of knowledge management operations on the requirements of electronic management for employees working in Palestinian universities? The Islamic University and Al-Azhar University in Gaza were selected for the study. The questionnaire was based on the descriptive analytical method for its apparent suitability. The questionnaire was designed specifically to achieve the objectives of this study, where the method was adopted on the stratified random sample method. A number of 180 questionnaires were distributed to the studied community and 160 valid questionnaires were obtained for analysis with a recovery rate of 88.9%. The study reached several results, including: the knowledge management operations affect the requirements of the electronic management positively at the Islamic University and Al-Azhar University. There is a positive impact on (diagnosis, generation, distribution) of the knowledge operations of the electronic management at the Islamic University and Al-Azhar University. There is no impact of (processes, storage) of knowledge of electronic management at the Islamic University and Al-Azhar University. There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the study sample, attributed to personal data (gender, age, educational level, number of years of service, workplace), and the knowledge and electronic management. Among the findings of the researcher were the following recommendations: the study recommends that the Palestinian university administrations should continue to apply knowledge management for its positive role on the electronic management. It is also recommended that the role of knowledge management processes (diagnosis, generation, distribution) in electronic management need to be developed by increasing interest in them, and put them in their operational plans for universities.
